Have you ever felt your source of provision has been taken away? Did you ever feel your walls of protection have been shattered? That they have started crumbling down?

Well let’s talk about protection and provision today.

Who do you look up to for your provision? Your parents? Your caretaker? Your husband? Your job? Your government?

Think about it.

Surely,  there was a time, when I was shaken. I thought – my source of provision is gone and my protection is dwindling. What do I do?

Then I remembered I can’t think that way as a child of God.

“Lord!” I cried “, This is how I feel. This is my need… Help me!”.

And then, I found the below scripture portion.  In the Bible, Isaiah 40:6-8 says:

All people are like grass,
and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.

The grass withers and the flowers fall,
because the breath of the Lord blows on them.

Surely the people are grass.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.”

And I realized – All People, Yes, all people, including myself are all like grass that withers away.

Because, we, people are mere mortals whose life is uncertain and we tend to change. We’re just not perfect!

And no matter how well meaning the people in our life maybe, the faithfulness of all people is like the – ‘flowers of the field’.

But God – He’s perfect! … He never changes and His word endures forever!

God gave us His Word – Noticed that? He gave us his word. His word is full of His promises.

What blessed hope and comfort!

Therefore, let us not be shaken when humans withdraw their support and commitment. Let us be glad when we can have it, but let’s not worry in case we lose it, because we know there is a rock-solid, unchanging, faithful God behind us always, to care for us; who always remains the same, keeps his promises and whose word endures forever unlike human words that may or may not stand.

The greatest thing is that God just does not make provision for our material and emotional needs, He has made the ultimate fulfilling provision to fill our deepest spiritual need for a relationship with Him. He has made provision for our eternity! He has provided each one of us with the priceless unfathomable gift of salvation through LORD Jesus Christ!

Consider this beautiful scripture portion dear friend.

If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

                                                                                                              – Romans 8: 31(b)-33.

This is who our God is.

Let us never be discouraged.
